Leeds Fly Dressers Guild New Season 2016

flytying

Just a reminder that we commence the new season this year, at 7.30pm on Wednesday 5th October 2016 at West Park Rugby Club, Bramhope, with our registration night where Jerry Lee and Melvyn Wood will tie some flies. See the Contact page for directions.

Any  new members will be made most welcome and introduced to the club if they come along. There is a bite to eat in terms of a little supper on this night.

In terms of our guest speaker programme, we have invited six who are well known and regarded in their field:

  • Stuart Croft
  • Steve Newsome (Ex Ladybower) – Successful Reservoir Patterns
  • Phil Holding
  • Matt Eastham – Successful North Country Patterns
  • Stuart Wardle (Multi England International) – Reservoir and River Patterns
  • Dr Paul Gaskell (Trout In The Town) – River Flies and Entomology

This year the Novice and Improvers programmes include all the bronze and silver level flies for the national FDG accreditation awards. The Beginners Programme will be led by Jerry Lee and the Improvers by Melvyn Wood.

More details on the website Programme page and there is also a list of the Events which can be exported to your computer or smartphone calendar so you don’t miss anything. Scroll to the bottom of the Events list and click on “Export Listed Events”.
